CET connects the architectural community with local government to collaboratively address issues as the local advocacy branch for AIACV. Our goal is to utilize the chapter’s resources to engage across all 17 counties of our region and engage with local agencies and regional members about what the AIA can do to help their communities. The team provides a forum for members to engage in policy discussions, offer professional insight, and form strategic alliances with partner organizations—all to elevate the role of architecture and design in shaping a resilient, equitable, and thriving region. We encourage all chapter and committee members to alert to us with anything that comes to their attention as we look to respond to the questions “what’s bugging architects?” and “what can the AIA do for you?”

The Design Narrative Lecture Series advances a vibrant, cross-disciplinary exchange of ideas at the intersection of design, innovation, and urban development by convening diverse voices from across the design spectrum. Through engaging lectures and dialogue, the series connects professionals, students, and enthusiasts to share emerging practices, sustainable strategies, and cultural insights—cultivating a collaborative community where global and local perspectives inform the future of the built environment, inspire innovation, and elevate design’s positive impact on society.

The Emerging Professionals group works to bring networking and community building opportunities to students, licensure candidates, and professionals who have been licensed for 10 years or less. We aim to bring knowledge and opportunities that early professionals may not have access to in a traditional firm setting, such as firm and project tours, virtual seminars, and mentorship opportunities. Our focus is on bringing awareness to the value of the AIA and creating opportunities that are intentional, valuable, and engaging—designed to support your professional growth and connection within AIACV.
