About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Project Architect/Project Manager with experience
across Advanced Technology, Industrial, Retail, and Commercial/Workplace sectors. The
ideal candidate excels in technical coordination and system integration and thrives in fastpaced environments.
We are especially interested in candidates with strong professional connections and
experience in the Sacramento area or have a strong ability to integrate themselves into the
design and construction community of the region.
The person in this role will lead projects, striving to integrate design, and develop projects
from conceptual planning to coordination of project development through approvals of
design and construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead architectural design and documentation from concept through construction.
- Coordinate infrastructure and integrate mechanical, electrical, and process systems.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on projects for semiconductors, microelectronics, EV battery, and other advanced technology clients.
- Design and plan industrial facilities such as distribution centers, warehouses, and maker spaces, ensuring efficiency and support for complex processes.
- Design brand-aligned retail environments including stores and retail centers focused on customer experience.
- Planning commercial workplace environments, balancing aesthetics, safety, and regulatory compliance to meet diverse client needs.
Qualifications:
- 10 to 15+ years of architectural experience with relevant project types.
- An architectural license is required
- Strong technical coordination skills, especially with MEP and process systems.
- Proficiency in Revit and BIM workflows.
- Experience with Daltek Vantagepoint a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently on projects through design development, construction documents, and contract administration phases.
- Experience with high-tech, fast-track, or engineering-led projects is a plus.
- InDesign experience is a plus.
Salary Range: $95,000 to $120,000
At Mackenzie, we work a hybrid model that combines both work-from-home and in-office work schedules. This position will be based in the Sacramento office.
