Position Overview
We are seeking a Project Architect / Job Captain (6+ years experience) with extensive DSA experience to join our Sacramento and San Francisco teams, this role will focus on delivering high-impact school projects that require strong technical knowledge, close collaboration with districts and communities, and leadership in managing design/documentation using BIM.ResponsibilitiesLead or support K-12 school projects from concept through construction
Drive the DSA approval process, ensuring timely compliance and approvals
Coordinate drawings, details, and specifications with consultants and agencies
Collaborate with district clients, boards, and community stakeholders
Supervise junior staff and foster their professional growth
Ensure design integrity and technical quality through all phases
Apply building codes, planning, and zoning knowledge to project solutions
QualificationsAccredited professional degree in Architecture
Licensed CA Architect (or 60%+ through the licensure exams)
6+ years of experience with California public K-12 projects
Proven DSA approval experience
Strong proficiency with BIM and documentation workflows
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, client-focused environment
