The Year in Review

December 18, 2024

As the year comes to a close, it has truly been an honor to serve as your AIA Central Valley President. Reflecting on my journey, I joined the Board of Directors in 2018, never imagining I’d be fortunate enough to serve for so many years. This year, we’ve accomplished some significant milestones together, including the elimination of supplemental membership dues, a successful refresh of our Experience Architecture series with 14 events, and a new Strategic Plan which will guide our chapter with implementable goals in the years 2025-2029.

As we continue to grow and evolve, it is so important to keep engaging with our 600+ members and provide meaningful value. Our Sustaining Partners play a critical role in helping us leverage our budget each year as a non-profit, and we aim to bring even more benefits to these essential partners. If you’re considering joining or renewing your partnership in 2025, we would appreciate having the support.

Looking ahead, I am excited for Melisa Gaudreau’s leadership as President in 2025 and all that the future holds for our chapter. The Board of Directors remains as strong as ever, and I have truly enjoyed the open dialogue and unified approach we have taken on various initiatives.

Thank you for a wonderful year, and here’s to a bright and productive 2025!

Sincerely,

Cody Carpino, AIA
