The Year Ahead

The AIA Central Valley has recently installed our new 2025 Board of Directors, a talented group of members and allied members all invested in supporting architects, the ongoing growth of the profession, and successful outcomes in the design of places within our region. We are fortunate to have a proficient executive director, Desiree Gemigniani, and a new programming & communications coordinator, Gracie Doane. This is a fantastic group of colleagues and professionals!

As 2025 AIACV President, I am eager to collaborate with this team and steer the following key initiatives:

• Kick off our AIACV 2025-2029 Strategic Plan with renewed and purposeful member engagement, advocacy, education and cultural enrichment

• Revive the Membership Engagement Committee to refresh communication, the website and partnerships – while continuing to listen to the requests & suggestions of membership

• Actively support Central Valley’s Knowledge Communities by providing Board of Director liaisons, planning and cooperation

• Provide high quality, inspiring programming for Experience Architecture and highlight our Design Awards event

We certainly have a plan for the year ahead – yet are aware of moving dynamics that require our attention. No doubt there will need to be ongoing dialogue.
