AIA Central Valley is dedicated to advancing the architectural profession and its role in shaping vibrant, resilient communities. Our 2025-2029 Strategic Plan is centered around four key initiatives that will strengthen our chapter, elevate our members, and expand our impact:

Member Engagement – We are committed to fostering a dynamic, supportive community where architects and allied professionals can connect, collaborate, and grow. By enhancing networking opportunities, mentorship programs, and leadership pathways, we aim to empower our members at every career stage.
Community & Advocacy – Strengthening relationships between architects, policymakers, other community-based organizations and the public is essential to our mission. We will advocate for policies that support design excellence, sustainability, and responsible development while increasing public awareness of architecture’s value in shaping our region.
Education & Innovation – Lifelong learning and innovation are at the heart of our profession. We will expand educational programs, technical resources, and thought leadership initiatives to ensure our members remain at the forefront of industry advancements and emerging design challenges.
Culture & Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) – AIA Central Valley is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and equitable profession. Through intentional programs, leadership development, and outreach efforts, we will cultivate a culture that reflects the diverse communities we serve and supports the next generation of architects.

By prioritizing these strategic initiatives, AIA Central Valley will continue to be a catalyst for professional excellence, advocacy, and positive change within the built environment. Our Board of Directors, Knowledge Communities, Committees, and staff are kicking off our commitment to – and implementation of, the 2025-2029 Strategic Plan at today’s Leadership Retreat.
