McCandless & Associates Architects is a general practice architecture firm that has been in continuous operation since 1952. Located in downtown Woodland, we are a small firm in a growing town with a long-standing reputation for providing excellent service to our clients throughout Northern California.

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team.
The ideal candidate has strong technical and management skills, a growth mindset, is comfortable handling different types of projects, and thrives in a collaborative environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Responsible for all aspects of development & execution of projects including site surveys, entitlements, zoning & code research, due diligence reports, design & production through all phases (SD, DD, CD & CA).
· Coordinate with clients, consultants, AHJ, product manufacturers, agencies, & in-house staff as necessary for successful project completion.
· Monitor & maintain project schedules & consistently meet deadlines.
· Respond to RFIs & review submittals during construction administration.
· Select and specify colors, materials & finishes.
· Maintain complete and accurate project files.
· Monitor project budget & scope, taking appropriate action when additional services are required.
· Adhere to client prototype standards when applicable.
· Provide project status updates at regular staff meetings.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
· Proficiency in latest version of both Revit & AutoCAD with excellent modeling & documentation skills. Experience with rendering in Revit and knowledge of Photoshop is a plus.
· Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.), Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam Revu.
· Able to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
· Strong organizational, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills.
· Ability to prioritize workload & keep multiple projects moving forward simultaneously.
· Must be familiar with California Building Codes and navigating local jurisdiction amendments.
· Knowledge of standard building materials and related construction techniques.
· Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
· Exhibit customer service attitude with professional, team-player disposition.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
· 8+ years of professional experience in commercial and residential design.
· Portfolio of work that demonstrates excellence in design & project management skills.
· Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field is a plus, but equivalent experience will also be considered.
BENEFITS & COMPENSATION
· Employees with 0-5 years, PTO is accrued weekly and will cap at 80 hrs. (increased for employees with 6+ years).
· 7 paid holidays per year.
· 401k Retirement package with 50% employer match contribution up to 3% of gross wages (after 1 yr & 1,000 hrs. worked).
· Compensation commensurate with experience.
