Attendees braved the warm July evening to enjoy an insightful presentation on the Eames Legacy (with two members of the Eames family), the opportunity to taste wines from six boutique wineries, listen to live jazz music and sample delicious appetizers from MagPie Catering. The Chapter has received many compliments on our two art exhibitors: Rudy Calpo, AIA and Brian Lefholtz–we thank them for participating.

Now that the Sacramento City Council and the Sacramento Convergence LLC (developers Gerry Kamilos and David Taylor) have entered into an exclusive right to negotiate agreement, the next 120 days is critical as the clock is ticking to provide the City with a detailed financing and conceptual plan for the Sports and Entertainment Complex proposed at the Railyards site.

Join us for this very timely program featuring speakers Gerry Kamilos, owner of Kamilos Companies, and John Dangberg, Assistant City Manager, as they discuss the next steps and vision of the Sacramento Sports and Entertainment Complex. The Convergence Plan would include a three-way land swap involving the Railyards, Cal Expo, and Arco Arena. The program will be moderated by John Hodgson, RCH Group, as the speakers discuss the right to negotiate agreement and details concerning the Convergence Plan including the financing strategies.
