SACRAMENTO, CA (March 8, 2010) – The American Institute of Architects Central Valley (AIACV) is excited to announce the launch of their new website at www.aiacv.org.

The site is based in Word Press, an open source blog publishing software originally designed for blogging—but so powerful and popular that currently over 9.2 million websites now utilize it.

“The new website is an important step in providing increased value to our members and Corporate Partners. It opens a whole new world of opportunities to exchange ideas and connect with our membership and our region,” says Bruce Monighan, AIA, of monighANDesign.

The website is designed to provide easy access to resources at all levels of the AIA organization, as well as regular posts on local Chapter events and seminars, regional happenings and news and information pertinent to architecture and the built environment. Google Calendar, Flicker, Brown Paper Tickets on-line event registration, and social media websites including Face Book, Twitter and LinkedIn are also integrated into the new website. All posts and links will be archived and accessible to visitors via simple key-word search.

“Our continuing goal with the site will be to provide a regular stream of practical and useful information that will engage our membership and the public in the years ahead,” said Brian Crilly, Associate AIA of Lionakis.

Founded in 1942, the AIA Central Valley represents the interests of nearly 850 architects and related professionals in 17 Northern and Central Valley Counties.
