Prefab Workshop in San Francisco, Register Now!

RES Consulting is offering a Prefab Education workshop in San Francisco on January 13th, 2012, in cooperation with Modular Building Institute (MBI). The workshop features Professor Ryan E. Smith, a professor of architectural technology and author of Prefab Architecture, an authoritative voice on modular design and construction. It is anticipated that 50 – 100 professionals, architects, engineers and contractors will gather to learn about prefabrication and modularization, and will receive six continuing education credits through the AIA More information about the workshop can be found at:

Wednesday is the last day to register for the sample class! We may be forced to cancel if we do not meet our minimum registration goals.

Our Chapter is pleased to announce a new approach to the Architectural Registration Exam (ARE) Seminars  this year.

We have contracted with a professional education provider, Funkaar Studios, to teach all of the 2011 ARE preparation courses.

Since this is a new format for our members, Umber Kazni, Director of Funkaar Studios,  has agreed to teach a trial class to provide a preview of class format, techniques and material.

The class will take place on Saturday, March 5th, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. in the AIACV Gallery.

Advanced registration closes at 4pm on the Wednesday prior to class. Registrations received after the cutoff are subject to an additional $25 fee.
