Thursday, October 7th, AIA Central Valley has invited California Certified Accessibility Specialists (CalCasp, Inc.) to hold a seminar this fall that will meet the full 5 hour requirement. The focus will be on Residential / Multi-Family ADA.
Senate Bill 1608 (signed into law in 2008) requires that all California architects complete coursework on disabled access requirements as a condition of license renewal.
We welcome both AIACV Members and Non-Member Architects to attend the class.

Time: 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. / Beverages and light snack provided. The seminar will break at 12 noon for a half-hour lunch. Attendees may bring a brown-bag lunch and stay on-site, or leave and return at 12:30 p.m.
Parking: Limited on-Street parking; is available, please arrive early.
Cost: Members: $80.00 (+ svc fee)
Non-Members $95.00 (+ svc fee)

We plan to do two ADA workshops a year (Spring and Fall). The next one will focus on residential. Information will be posted in early 2011.
